Finalists in all categories of the 2011 WA Tourism Awards were announced last week at two events held simultaneously at Perth Zoo and Howard Park Winery in Margaret River.

WA Local Super would particularly like to congratulate all the councils and shires that were announced as finalists in the award category we proudly sponsor, the Local Government Award for Tourism.

This award recognises excellence in tourism planning, the provision of tourism facilities and services, marketing, event development and management, and the overall contribution made locally and overall to the State's tourism industry.

The finalists are as follows:
City of Bunbury
City of Greater Geraldton
City of Perth
City of Stirling
City of Swan
Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council
Shire of Carnarvon.

We wish you all the best for the finals. Winners will be announced on Saturday 26th November at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards Gala Dinner.
