Timing the market?
Superannuation is a long term investment. It is time in the market rather than trying to time the market that produces better results.
History shows that members who regularly switch investment options, trying to pick the right time in a particular asset class invariably get it wrong and end up worse off than those who select an investment strategy that suits their risk profile and stick with it.
If timing the market was easy, wouldn't we all be retired by now with billions in the bank?
Monthly Rates
The links below are for the monthly crediting rates. Members should be cautious with this information and in particular should avoid the urge to switch investment options base solely on historical results. Attempting to time the market presents significant risks.
When are earnings allocated?
On or around the 25th of each month the earnings rates for the various investment options are calculated and allocated to members accounts.
The monthly rate is converted to a daily rate and allocated to the daily balance of a members account for the entire month.
