"I commenced employment with WA Local Super in August 2006 as a Business Systems / Project Officer. In this multi-faceted role, I am personally responsible for managing and undertaking special projects on behalf of the Management Team, adding value by re-working systems and aligning technology and working with the Management Team to enhance business systems and best practice. I continued working full-time in this role for approximately two (2) years before I went on Maternity Leave in March 2008.


After six (6) months of Maternity Leave, I returned to work in a part-time capacity. Western Financial has not only given me the opportunity of workplace flexibility to care for my family but also return to work on very accommodative and generous terms. Due to the nature of my role, I have the flexibility of working both in the office and from home. After working part-time for 1 and a half years, I once again will be going on Maternity Leave and returning in a part-time capacity in the near future.

WA Local Super has provided me with the flexibility to put my family first and provide the perfect work – life balance. Management have supported me all the way and provided great working and career progression opportunities. What I love about Western Financial is the friendly and diverse culture and the fact that hard, motivated and enthusiastic workers are rewarded and recognised."
