A note on comparing funds.
Super fund returns should not be taken as straight “apples for apples” comparisons. For example, we have an Australian Shares Option which includes private equity as well as stock exchange listed shares. Other super funds will have more or less private equity (or even none). A comparison of one super fund versus another should always confirm the actual asset mix and breakdown on the investment options before a comparison is made.
